Tuscan mk1 rear ARB drop links
Discussion
A simple repair that I thought I'd share.
I've been tidying up the diff casing recently, chipping off some surface rust, rust converting and applying black Hammerite paint when I noticed my rear drop links looked a bit crusty. I removed them and sure enough they were seized solid. These are rose joints and when I freed them up with some WD40 it was clear they were past their best with lots of slop.
I could have gone with the the Motaclan option C0406 but decided to go with an alternative. This was:
M10 x1.5mm Female Right Thread Ultra High Performance Rose Joint Rod End part no. XFRM10 from McGill Motorsport, along with
Sealing Boot for Imperial Rose Joints 3/16" - 1" Dust Sealing Protection, part no. SEAB2
All up about £27 delivered. I thought the boots would be a good idea to keep the grime off, they were cheap and fitted snugly. Easy enough to fit with a little PFTE spray. Pics below.
Original with new parts alongside.

Refurbished drop link before fitment.

All sorted. Nice.

Tuscan taxed and back on the road now. Enjoyed the first drive out for the year today.
