A Bit Stuck

This is different to the above [i]Can't Get In [/i] thread in that my the boot won't open. I can hear the solonoid clicking but the catch is stuck fast.

Using [i]the method[/i] only results in allowing access to the cabin but hasn't helped with the boot.

My roof is currently in there and I just know it's going to rain tonight :(

Would someone kindly email me, via my profile, with any suggestions?

Update (for the sake of PH's Chimaera archives )

Transpires that the wire cable between the boot solenoid and the catch lever had worn through.

Not surprising that it snapped where it was joined to the solenoid at a 90 degree angle!

Not yet found a replacement cable so I've removed the boot catch from the lid to save going through the nightmare of remote access again- (there's nothing of interest in there if you're a scrote local to me btw ).

One side effect to all this was the offside door catch sticking open on the striker plate and not keeping the door locked- it took until this evening to eventually sort that.

God, I do so love the car though, especially with the new clutch & gearbox.
Now into my fourth year of ownership and no repeating problems- just ticking them off; as they crop up)
