Adjusting boot lock mechanism?

My boot is getting difficult to open. Button works but getting stiffer to pull open. APM sorted it last time. I think there is a wire that can be adjusted ? Anyone know ?

Pull the carpet back from the area below the catch. You will see the cable that operates the arm. Adjust that and all should be fine.

I guess they just stretch sometimes, or it could be the motor on its way out.

Sussed it - you just pop the boot light out and then you adjust a nut thingy on the wire that pulls the lock mechanism. Took all of 30 secs to do.

OK so it wasnt the carpet but the light, so I was half right?

oh - and glue the carpet back on after you pull it off!
