Button near right knee doesn t open the fuel flap, no probs, I open from inside the boot. Until this morning when the button on the boot stopped working and last week the passenger side window wouldn t respond to the up and buttons, plus it doesn t drop when you open the door and the red door light doesn t illuminate I m a away from home and don t have my handbook with me any ideas guys? Could these be fuse related issues?

TIA Richard

Boot now working, two presses of the key fob boot button and all working! Just hoping passenger window is fuse problem smile

Does the passenger window drop with either of the two buttons inside the car?

If it does, then it’s unlikely to be the fuse.

The usual suspect at the root of electrical gremlins is a failing battery - how old is yours?

Hi Nigel, thank you for responding! Passenger window doesn’t move with either button, doesn’t drop when the door is opened, and the door red light doesn’t illuminate either.. battery is about a year old and kept on a ctek conditioner….

In that case, hopefully its just fuse F82 (25A) for the passenger door module, rather than actually the door module itself that's failed.

It's in the cabin fusebox, located in the passenger footwell.

PS - fuel flap release is F47 in the cabin fusebox - this is shared with footwell lamps, seat switches, glovebox release, so if they are all working, you have an issue with the fuel flap release itself.

Normally you can hear the actuator, er, actuating when the button is pressed - does your make any sound? Could just be a sticky flap... eek

Thanks Nigel, yes I can hear flap release ‘click’ when the cabin button is pushed, so prob just ‘sticky’ opens fine with the boot pull release is pulled….. will investigate fuses tomorrow morning… smile

I had similar issues, resorted to changing every fuse in the cabin fusebox and all is well now
