Is there a fuse for the speed sensor? lost the speed and millage reading (still there, just not increasing)Or is it just a knackered sensor?

Could be that the sensor on the diff just needs adjusting closer to the pick up.Hope so it only takes a few minutes to do.

itll be the sensor. happened to me too. i hope it just needs winding in, cos in typical TVR style its a pig to change. not hard to do, just requires arms that bend in at least seven directions all at once.

Quite a common one this. Do they magically start to work again after a fair few miles? Sometimes they just fix themselves. Probably just the sensor

Errr....usually no.

I have just had this one....

after the brakes, the clutch, the battery and now the boot solenoid.
NB Many many thanks to James A. for the advice and the tent peg at CREAM, that allowed me to fuel up and get back to Somerset.

My mileage and trip stopped working last week when it was trying to turn to 55000 miles from 54,999. The speedo still worked fine though. The mileometer and trip began working the next day of their own free will. Your problem sounds more like a sensor as mentioned before.
