Hi everyone in the journey to get a chimaera running after a long lay up I am changing fuel lines filters and fuel pump.
This is a 1993 car and the pump connections are spade terminals with the + terminal being physically bigger than the - terminal.
On looking at the Bosch replacement the connections are bolt on and the + post is smaller than the - post.
Does this sound correct that a replacement actually has reversed the size of the connections ?
Ideally I don’t want to change working connections and introduce more issues unnecessarily. Any ideas before I order one would be great. All the best Chris

Cant really answer why the size difference but they usually supply terminal adapters with some pumps to go from the stud to a spade terminal.
Your existing pump may already have them, similar to the below, I have listed the double version but singles available.
It can be a good idea to replace the connectors on the car wiring side as they can corrode.

That's quite normal, the use of different sizes is only to prevent bored assembly line workers getting the wires on the wrong terminals wink
