Stare at the black + in the center, the moving dot turns to green.

Now, concentrate on the black + in the center of the picture. After a short period of time, all the pink dots will slowly disappear, and you will only see a green dot rotating.

It's amazing how our brain works. There really is no green dot, and the pink ones really don't disappear. This should be proof enough, we don't always see what we think we see.

I have linked it as it doesn't seem to work on PH.

All I saw was the letters Q,F and the number 4.

It sucks to be colourblind, sometimes!

Here's another amazing optical illusion.

If you stare at this image for long enough you will see a giraffe.

Nice one. I have seen many illusions over the years but that one is new to me.

So, must remember never to go out on the roads in a pink vehicle in case it disappears from another driver's view.

And as for what we think we see, the brain makes up information which would logically fill gaps or fits with what might have been happening. So the idea of being prosecuted for something based on the 'evidence' of what a witness believes they saw is, to say the least, dodgy at the best of times. Imagine what it must be like after several years have elapsed.

If anyone is interested in the strange abilities of the brain in other areas in addition to visual stimuli, try to find a coy of "Phantoms in the Brain" by V.S. Ramachandran. A fascinating read.
