Euro Cylinder Locks
Discussion
I need to replace 4 possibly 5 euro cylinders as we still have the new build 1 star rubbish in our patio doors and side door.
We have an ABS Avocet Ultimate in the front door that I brought with us from our last house.
Looks like lock prices have risen considerably, so any other recommendations?

I used these people and this particular lock, not sure on insurance stipulations but it seemed like a decent lock and the keys aren't stupidly long like the Yale ones I had before. Like you say the price seems to have gone up though, sure I only paid £30 each for them plus a keyed alike charge.

We had a door fitted recently, it came with a Yale lock, while it likely good quality the key seems fiddly to line up, doesn't have the same chamfer on the front of the key like the ABS have.
While Mum in law was still alive I fitted a lock on her Bungalow, it was I believe made by Ultion, this was the only lock we could find that would unlock if there was another key on the inside, would not recommend that either, even worse to get the key into, although that might have been because of Sister in Law having keys cut at Timpsons instead of the proper named ones, she seemed to think both her daughters should have a key as well.
Having read a another pot below, the lock on the MILs was in fact a Cisa,, I've still got it somewhere.

I like Ultion, largely because I like the all metal chunky key.
I know they're good locks but whether they're worth the cost, probably not.
They have gone up loads in the last few years.
Chunky key = less chunky mechanism. I know they're good locks but whether they're worth the cost, probably not.

They are also outrageously expensive and difficult to get additional / replacement keys for.
Much prefer Cisa or Evva.
