Dead Radio/Nav 06 Vantage
Discussion
Wanted to start a separate thread for this issue to ask for some advice….. as I’m stumped
I had another general thread before, after getting a low power battery save mode after ballsing up with my ctek, but this separate issue still persists.
After getting the low battery warning, my nav stopped rising/turning on, and so did the infotainment/temperate/radio screen stop turning on. Just blank. The radio doesn’t turn on.
The battery was “recond-ed” to full with the ctek, but ended up being completely flat with 48hrs or so.
So, ended up changing the battery (got a new AGM one in the car yesterday,… what a pain in the arse
) and all good….. apart from this bloody radio issue.
I’ve checked all the fuses and they are all ok. I can hear the nav trying to start sometimes…. The motor whirs for a split second, so there is power to the system, but it just won’t “start up.” The rest of the panel works, i.e the temperature/HVAC knobs, the read buttons etc, and the lower hazard/fog light etc buttons.
The speakers work as I can take Bluetooth calls through them. The radio power button does nothing, nor does the nav button.
Has anyone had this issue before? I did find another thread with the same issue but that was solved by replacing the battery
Any help gratefully received.
It sounds to me like some kind of “fault” mode

It could be worth getting the tracker checked. It’s a common issue when they go faulty and when this happens it can lead to rapid battery drain and all sorts of electrical gremlins. When mine first started causing issues the first signs were with the infotainment/radio etc. Even if you don’t have an active subscription the unit can fail and exhibit symptoms such as you describe. May not necessarily be the cause of your problems but it’s a box worth ticking. Good luck. Hope you get it resolved soon. BRM.

Thanks Minglar. I m almost certain the tracker is disconnected. I found another thread from years back where someone suggested removing the fuses and leaving for 10mins to allow a proper reset. I m
Going to try that first, with both the cabin and boot fuses. Cheers
That did nothing sadly Going to try that first, with both the cabin and boot fuses. Cheers
