For the last 15 years I have parked my MB 212's in my garage, the opening does not give a large clearance each side of the car. I had the foresight to screw a 2 foot piece of old hosepipe to each side of the door frame.

Today for the first time I was careless when entering the garage and contacted the door frame, as I reversed out the wooden door post moved outward with the car.

Fortunately the hosepipe did its job and there was no damge to the car, just had to hit the wooden door post with a large hammer to get it back,

Relief!

My boss did the same with his eray. Fortunately, it only damaged the PPF, so just needed a section re-doing.

Hanging a strip of carpet on the garage wall were the driver's door opens is also very handy!
