Skewer bar size

My lad needs a new skewer bar. Would this be classed as an 18cm. Where do you measure from? It's a Halfords mountain bike for the rear wheel. Thanks

Measure between the inside faces of the dropouts on the frame, ie where the axle fits. Usually 100mm for a front wheel or 130/135mm for a back wheel. Skewers are sold by those dimensions rather than the overall length.

As said measure the bike,
the standard for rear wheels quick release is usually 135mm
