door mechanism vibrations/noises

Hi all, Any idea what is wrong? When I press the door button there is this juddering and a loud vibrating noise. The door does open but it makes a horrible noise. I have tried releasing the catch with the door open and that works fine, it is just when you add the door fitting to the lock that it starts complaining. Any ideas?
