I was thinking of getting mine cleaned, but of course this means the car not going while I do it. :)

Has anyone bought replacment injectors? I was thinking I could just swap in some brand new ones.

The part number is 0280150744, but I haven't been able to find any on the 'net.

Has anyone bought some of these before?

When I had my car remapped last year Austec (on my agreement) changed the injectors for Bosch ones, rather than cleaning the old ones (which is still standard practice, I believe). Some on here say that changing the injectors for better ones made no difference to the power etc over cleaning the old ones, but Austec where of the opinion it would/did. They say the Bosch ones are superior to the standard injectors and Im happy with the decision

IIRC it cost about £400

NB Just read the title again That was for a 4.5, dont know if they are different for 4.2s

The 4.2 injectors are Bosch ones already

Same as fitted to some Vauxhalls from what I've seen.

I think the 4.5s used Lucas ones.

That is right! The 4.2 ones are Bosch - mine are in a plastic bag in my garage at the moment (infact, so is everything else from my Cerb !!). I am planning on getting them cleaned and balanced prior to the rebuild, and I have a contact that specialises in fuel injector cleaning/balancing especially Bosch ones..... boxermotorworks.co.uk if you want you could take mine and get them done while you are still driving your Cerb, and then give me your ones when you swap them over. Only takes 15mins to swap injectors. Just a thought...
