I see T212 are now offering a SIPP product.

Anyone ventured into it?

Good / bad?

I noticed on Sunday and opened one. All I currently get is this when I try to get beyond the initial screen.

'To ensure a seamless experience we're rolling out SIPP accounts gradually...'

Sounds so much more cuddly than 'We've got a technical problem'...

It has certainly taken a while. According to this article, T212 originally planned to launch its SIPP in early 2021: https://www.ft.com/content/2c3f5752-0c9a-409d-a65c...

No mention of SIPPs yet on T212's homepage, but a new SIPP category has already been added to the Help Centre.

Not for me.

It looks like 212 are just providing the platform and the SIPP itself is held and administered by Gaudi Regulated Services, whoever they are. Gaudi charge an operator fee of approx £75 to £100.

What is the advantage of using a new, untried product over Vanguard/AJ Bell/II/numerous others?

^^^ Some people may already be using their App for ISAs and/or share dealing and want the convenience of keeping everything in one place. Others may have fallen for the advertisements.

T212 have zero fees

And it's not a product, just a platform.

But not zero costs - in fact, you probably don't know what it costs you.

Does anyone here have a sipp that allows out of hours trading of us products.

I use IBKR for everything else which is amazing (prices, time, products, fees, commission, options).

My sipp is a 2 bit operation in comparison.

I was a big fan of T212, but fell out with them early this year when they tried to force me into an app only method of trading.

I'm afraid that attempting to trade whilst holding a chocolate bar and peering through a letter box is not for me!

All my self-trade stuff is now with Interactive Investor, who seamlessly transfered my T212 S&S ISA.

T212 is quick and dirty but is OK if you are aware of that.

They don't have the market access that some of the bigger boys have, which can make them a bit crap at things like fast buys and sells or 24hr trading.

They are also at the mercy of their 'intermediaries' so can be unable to let you buy some stocks for no apparent reason for indefinite periods of time (see Fatpipe for an example).

Not sure why they didn't like your browser but I have to do a video every 2 weeks or so to get them to 'trust' mine.

Also use the app but prefer the full desktop view on my laptop.

SIPP could be interesting but it's all about the charges and Fx rates if you're going outside UK markets.

I'll certainly be looking into setting one up when they are fully online with it.

'Do a video'? Sounds more like TikTok than a platform!

This was the crux of my issues with them, no camara on my laptop and they refused to use my clever phone for it!

Dear god, do they want investors or performing seals?!

Never mind, work with it... maybe if you sang a little song they'd give you another 1% nuts

It's standard ID software for financial accounts - same as your bank would require.

Easy to get a plug in USB camera for the laptop.

Has to be done on the computer that you want them to trust as they then place a piece of code on it to allow access.

I'm quite happy that they do this, as I play with sufficient amounts of money that it would upset me quite a lot to get it stolen by a hacker.

2FA activated as well.
