Bonnet respray in Derby

Hi, can anyone recommend a body shop that will respray a bonnet in Derby?

My bonnet has an area that has been repaired poorly previously and the paint doesn't match the rest of the bonnet. You can't tell when it's wet, but it stands out to me when dry and clean.

Including VAT I've been quoted just shy of £1500 to respray and to blend with the wings. Apparently only light prep work is required....

This is more than expected!

Can anyone recommend a more cost effective body shop in Derby?

No idea if it s a particularly cost effective place and I ve no personal experience, but I ve heard good things about Car Concept.

They re next door to the MGR Mobile Repair garage, who are in turn very well known in MG Rover circles and have recommended the paint shop next door to various people in the past. The MG Rover guys there are very decent and fairly priced so I think unlikely to recommend shysters, but as I say no personal experience.

Edit: I should say I don’t actually know that’s the garage in question, just that I often saw social media posts from the MGR garage recommending the ‘paintshop next door’ and google maps (+good reviews) suggests it’s them.
