Trader parking their commercial vehicle stock on road...
Discussion
Devil's advocate, if you're also going to use the space to park vehicles, why not them? I really don't know the legalities of it if they're taxed / insured stock?
We have similar outside our premises, a site opposite uses the industrial estate road as a holding area for LGV's prior to loading / unloading (even though they have a huge emtpy yard) and it restricts access down to one lane with no passing places for oncoming traffic, causes daily issues as there are often 10-15 LGV's waiting in a line which is a fair distance.
I think our MD has spoken to them and raised concerns but nothing has changed.
Hopefully someone with more knowledge than me can advise on your options.

That's a different scenario.

This trader doesn't have a unit on the estate.
AI tells me, it is illegal for a trader to park more than one vehicle withinn 500m of another, wether that is true?

A further bit of googling also suggests it is not illegal if there are no specific parking restrictions in place. This trader doesn't have a unit on the estate.

If the vehicles are road legal then I believe there's not a lot you can do about it. The access road to the unit I work at on an industrial estate is constantly full of HGV's which at time obstruct access for other units getting in but the council are not interested other than to say double yellow lines can be requested, which doesn't really solve anything as it causes issues for other businesses in the area.
We have this issue where I work it is apparently a big issue anywhere, a lot of it near me is some s
tty garage buying stock for spares or repair and dumping them on the road, we have had enforcement here a few times, some if them are untaxed, but often according to him no V5 doc details, as cash bought, not filled or returned, to move them needs a hiab or loader, costing councils thousands, they are never going to sanction that.
We had 18 dumped on our estate, all white vans, they were crashed into, damaged, one if them been outsude for 18 months.
Not a lot you can do, even if they are untaxed they just sit there clamped for months.
