I forget the exact wording of the message, but the jist of it is, take a break you are tired. It also displays a picture of a steaming glass of coffee.

It has only appeared during recent months and for me, only on the M4.
I initially though the car might have become aware of me yawning.
On subsequent days, my attempts to trigger the message by yawning failed.

The message reappeared yesterday, again on the M4, but without me yawning this time.
It did occur to me on that occasion, that a service area was just a few miles ahead, so that might be a clue.

Have any of you experienced this?
Is it possible that Mercedes-Benz might have made agreements with service areas, trying to encourage M-B drivers to stop and buy coffee?

Very odd.

Imagine it’s a time, possibly mileage thing. I believe my Audi has similar but I’ve turned it off in the options.

If it tends to happen a set distance or time away from home then I think you have your answer.

I have only ever rented a MB in Italy and it used to pop up regularly on long drives.

Before the message appeared this week, I had slept for 8 hours, began driving at 8:30am and then after 40 miles, approaching a service area, the car decided I was too tired to continue driving.

Perhaps coincidence, but not convinced by set distance or time, I think there might be another reason.
To be fair, I will concede that the car might not have known the duration of my sleep. smile

It thinks your steering inputs are indicative of someone who is tired, given you say you're rested the camera (if fitted) isn't seeing you closing your eyes (micro sleeping) the warning will activate based upon your actions not whether there is a Starbucks nearby.

The older (<2014) models don't have a camera but do use wandering steering input as a measure of tiredness.

Sure, but the OP indicates he has a 2022 model, which monitors steering and utilises a camera.
