I have factory fitted Michelin PS4's on my 25 GT, mileage 4600. Over the last couple of day I have been using the car and the weather has not been great, on 2 occasions the car's back end has "stepped" out. The first was hitting standing water on entering a dual carriageway from a roundabout and the second time was yesterday going round a large roundabout when the road was slightly damp(ish). Anybody else had issues or is it just me smile

How much tread have you got left, especially on the rears?

Checked the tyre pressures? And if they're ok, maybe check the geo?

I've generally found PS4 one of the best all round tyres you can buy; not the ultimate grip, but cope very well in all sorts of weather. With respect to aquaplaning, remember our cars are pretty light with wide tyres, so they will be more prone to aquaplaning than others.

I’ve driven on PS4s in absolutely biblical conditions and was amazed by their road holding. Check tread and pressures - I take it you weren’t driving like a buffoon!

Thanks Chaps.

Tyres plenty of tread, 29\30 pressures (checked weekly), driving like the 70 year old that I am wink. Possibly diesel \ oil on the road or something? Geo changed to Life110 setting but might be worth getting checked again.

My experience with the PS4 is so far very positive in damp and wet condition.
Fortunately I have not yet driven my Alpine in heavy rain with standing water , however under the above conditions the grip is excellent from my point of view.

We just changed from PS4 oem tyers on 2023 S to conti SC7 and the wet performance is vastly improved, much more feedback on what the axle’s are doing with more outright grip as well

Were your PS4s old/worn, which would explain some/all of the difference?
