Daughter number 1 will be 17 soon.
Unlike my son she doesn't have the same desire to learn.
I made it clear that knowing how to drive is a necessity these days plus we live in the sticks.
How do I go about finding a suitable female instructor?

Why would the instructor need to be female? But there are plenty out there. Just google driving instructor near me and pick a female one, or talk to any of the larger driving schools who will have a number of female instructors.

There used to be one near me but she's just driven off. You can't miss her, she's in a small car with L plates on it.

He's in Scotland, it's midnight.

Pre covid it'd reliably close next at Christmas (proper 24h including Sunday)

I've not given it much thought because my girls are still young, but I think if I was picking a driving instructor for them who was a total stranger I'd do the same.

Some instructors now take learners out in pairs to help with the cost and safety.

I'd suggest she gets a male instructor - surely you want the best for your daughter! Why compromise boxedin

My kids all had word of mouth recommendations from school friends / cousins.

No, but if Tiddles has been kidnapped, a male driving instructor could well be to blame.

My daughter is learning to drive at the moment (17), we and her got recommendations off friends / colleagues etc and she's learning with one of those, he's male by the way but is highly recommended by a number of her (female) friends and parents.
