Family car jumping between ideas c£8k
Discussion
Hi all, back after some time. Looking for 6 to 10k. Read lots of threads but think I'm special.
Want:
- auto
+ Must be ulez
- reliable
- ideally low total cost over 5 years
- big enough boot for 2 kids (baby and toddler. Lots)
- look decent so I want to get in
Not sure:
- SUV vs estate
- petrol v hybrid v diesel
Mileage / use: probably 5 to 10k per year. Last me 5 years at least. Most likely used only at weekends for short journeys expect a couple times a year. Unless it's a nicer place to spend time than the xc60.
Wildcard: have an xc60, do I need a second bigger car? Kids stuff made me think bigger needs.
Been jumping between, Hyundai Santa Fe, RAV4, CR-V (think hate the shape), cx-5. I want to enjoy the car but also appreciate it's the second car really.
Unless a real upgrade probably want cheaper. I toyed with getting 12k RAV4 hybrid as over the life maybe similar all in cost.
Thanks
