My mate sent me this over

https://www.vergemotorcycles.com/order/uk_en/

Had a looky on the website a noticed they were doing test rides out of Westfield so booked one for next weekend !

They called me up earlier today and said rather than a crappy ride around London, we noticed you live in a rural part of Essex, why don’t we just bring a bike up to you instead for the afternoon so you can have a ride on the roads you know and enjoy, rather nice of them,

1200nm of torque should be interesting, I do wonder how that is delivered and managed, if I don’t launch it at the sky or stick it in a hedge I will report back.

A gearbox multiplies torque so if you're used to big bikes it should be impressive but not hedge bothering.

Interesting bike, really interested to hear if they actually have solid state batteries or if that claim is hot air.

Not convinced on the silly torque claims for electric bikes personally, but despite all that 'power' only 124mph top speed... scratchchin

For me, the engine characteristics are a big part of motorcycling - not for me thanks.

That’s how they can afford to deliver a test bike to OP.

The have delivery down as q4 2027 so I think they know it’s a hard sell.

They claim it comes with a solid state battery - although you cannot 'order' a serial car or bike with solid state battery for delivery in Q4/27 elsewhere. Bold.

There's a yt channel who drove the bike last year from Switzerland through the UK https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PL_5-FeRUB-_... albeit with Li-Ion batteries
