Hi all

my daughter lives in Mexico (nr Cancun) and we want to send a few quid over to her as a treat. What method is currently the safest way please? i think I used Remitly(sp?) last time but I wondered what current thinking is. Bonus if the exchange rate is in our favour!

Many thanks..

Bank transfer?

Lots of accounts will let you make a transfer in any currency you choose, I use HSBC and Revolut regularly for doing international transfers.

I signed up to Wise a few years ago to send money to my Grandson in Australia ... it's worked fine so far, and that includes enough for a MacBook Air and a guitar amp for Christmas and Birthday. Cheap as well.

Another vote for Wise.

Gave me the ability to set up a virtual debit card in the USA which helped with bill payments there...

Thanks, Wise does look better than Remitly for how much she will get. I will have a look tomorrow. Many thanks for the advice.

Wise. I use it semi-regularly.
Fully legit and far better rates than my high-street bank (which were laughable)
