I’m going to the Spa Classic in May.

Staying overnight in the Arras area just south of Calais.

We have a full day to drive East through into Belgium and over to the Spa area.

Not interested in tolls/motorways but do want to cherry pick some of the best driving roads along the way where possible.

I’ve worked out a 6 hour route with a lunch stop that I think fits the brief?

Any pointers or roads to include or avoid would be much appreciated.

Aiming to get to Stavelot area for 5.00pm at the latest with a couple of pit stops and a lunch break.

You pass very close to the historic Chimay circuit - probably worth the slight detour for some photo's on the kerbs - it's public roads unless there's an event on.

Just re-read your post and picked up on the first sentance: I approve of your break plans!

I can't really offer advice on routes, the Ardennes is a lovely area and that route looks nice. The event is awesome, I've got great memories of attending in '17 and some nice pictures; great atmosphere, especially on the Saturday evening.

Enjoy!
