Does anyone have experience of the Learn Direct IT courses? Specifically I need to learn more about MS Access in my spare time. They have online courses for £80. Are they any good for someone who knows a little but needs to learn quite a bit, or are there any other good courses?

Teach yourself. Use the help or get a book and get stuck in.

I'm a highly paid IT contractor and I'm completely self-taught in every technology I use. And I have to learn new ones all the time...

Had a look on Amazon and it threw up quite a few. Can any be recommended? Are the "Dummies" range any good?

I think they are. After a bit you'll obviously want to know more than they can provide but I've found them a good intro into subjects.

Try looking on www.tutorialbox.com and use the 'help' option too.

Helped me with MS Access. I also have some course notes copied from someone else.

Email me if you want a copy
