So I have a 2024 BMW M2, low mileage, excellent condition all round. I've been looking to sell it recently (hoping to achieve close to the £49k mark) but some of the offers I've received from motorway and carwow have just been so poor? The highest bid was around 45k!

Is there any other methods that I could use to sell the car and get something close to my asking price? Any opinions welcome!

A quick Google shows a bunch of dealer 2024 cars at £48-51k.

I would say £45k is probably quite reasonable.

Cars like this I think are a bit awkward to sell honestly, as that kind of money and people usually want dealers for warranty/finance/possible part-ex which a private sale obviously doesn't have.

So if you can't hold out for someone willing to take the risk on a private sale, you're stuck with Motorway/Carwow etc which are going to be lower than a private sale so that the dealer has margin for any potential issues / profit.

Also, just having a nosy and depending on spec/miles, you can get one around the £50k mark approved used from BMW, so I would say £49k for a private sale is very optimistic OP, sorry to say.

I would try and contact some of the used car buyers at BMW dealers. An M2 is a popular car and I’m sure you’ll get offered a reasonable price.

BTW, what are the reasons for wanting to sell such a desirable car.
