News that this is now a overwhelming probability within our kids lives, and of course it's likely the change is already happening.
Genuine global consequences for northern Europe, North and South America.

Biggest news of the last couple of weeks that perhaps means the Orange Turd's antics pale into insignificance - or overjoyed and we can transform in a lifetime?

“Climate scientists use dozens of different computer models to assess the future climate. However, for the complex Amoc system, these produce widely varying results, ranging from some that indicate no further slowdown by 2100 to those suggesting a huge deceleration of about 65%, even when carbon emissions from fossil fuel burning are gradually cut to net zero.”

Guardian just love the term 'collapse', they manage to wedge it into every article. No modulation, every event predicted by some model or other must be an absolute one

But it goes on to say that the most reliable models are those that also use fact checked data (checking the sea itself i assume) and it is these that are looking more accurate.

I’m fairly sure they are just now reusing headlines from a few years back.

Is it worth than they first thought and we’ve reached a tipping point?

If the AMOC “collapses” we are (apparently) likely to see more winter storms and more dunkelflaute periods in other seasons. Precisely the worst possible outcome for wind generation.

No doubt Ed has this in hand….
