I feel like I'm suffering this on my own.

Everyone I see appears to tap out messages using both thumbs together (I can too if I really try) but I'm so used to using either my (right) forefinger on its own, or (left) thumb. Writing, sorry: typing messages just seems to be getting harder and harder, especially as auto-correct seems to predict words not even close to what I was trying to write, and sometimes it will let me continue to tap away on words that make the Polish language look easy.

I'm just so grateful that WhatsApp now allows editing after the message has been sent.

Persevere and learn how to do it with both thumbs, you will save an enormous amount of time

If on an android device have you tried swipe typing? You still need the device to recognise each word, but it'll allow you to use a single finger to enter the text.

You just slide your finger from letter to letter on the keyboard.
