Which summer tyres for Polestar 2
Discussion
All depends on your budget. I'm assuming it's running 245/45 R19's?
Pilot Sport PS4 are excellent but expensive as are Conti Sport Contact. The new Michelin Primacy 5 energy has been getting great reviews and is an EV specific design but not cheap either. (All £200+ fitted)
The Goodyear Eagle F1 6 is a bit cheaper and performa well. (£180 fitted)
The Kumho PS72 is a very good option for the price but will likely wear faster than more expensive options. (£140 fitted)
Avoid Bridgestone or Pirelli IME, never been impressed with their tyres.
I've found Asda tyres to be very good on price for most things as they often have discounts for 2 or more tyres.

The latest ADAC tyre test (reproduced/summarised e.g. here: https://www.tyrereviews.com/Tyre-Tests/2026-ADAC-S... could be of interest.
I'm leaning towards Continental PremiumContact 7 myself, since it seems to offer clearly better performance than Primacy 5 while maintaining the same rolling resistance (in the size tested). I found this interesting, since official rolling resistance labels are "A" for Primacy 5 (all available sizes) and "B" or "C" for the Continental, depending on the size.
Where I live, Continental is also a fair bit cheaper than Primacy 5, so predicted costs per km are practically identical.
PS4 might feel more responsive, at least compared to Primacy 5. I had PS4 as the last set on the previous car, a big improvement over the original Bridgestone low-rolling-resistance tyres. Our current car (Ioniq 5) with Primacy 4 is much more communicative than the previous one on the original tyres, but not quite as talkative as the old one with PS4 (even though the handling and grip are better).
PS4 would probably have a high rolling resistance, so the range might drop enough to matter in practice.
