How do I undo this connector?

Was changing the headlights on the Peugeot Partner and I never did manage to undo it, so I managed with the bumper in-situ, just for next time it'd be good to know how?

By down you mean into the connector body, or down to the bottom of the picture? They didn't budge at all and I didn't want to force them.

Pressed down into the body, sorry. They may well be stiff! Then it should slide.

Ah, OK. No, I tried that. Could always be seized I guess. It's 13 years old after all. It does look at though you're supposed to push that, because there are grippy serrations on it.

I'm not familiar with this connector but is that a locking bar at the bottom? Does the black bit between the yellow at bottom pull down?

That's what I was thinking too. The yellow part should then slide (?) off.

Use a flat blade screwdriver to smash all the tabs to bits and use LX tape to reconnect. :-)

If it's stiff might work by pressing down (ie into the body of the connector) directly on the two points circled and then slide then slide in the direction of the arrow. Bit of heat from a hairdryer might make the plastic a bit more flexible as well

^^^That's the theory, but the dry dirt may be hindering it; wash it with water, give it a blast of air, then a squirt of 'dry' silicone (Mr Sheen).

Thanks for all the suggestions, but I can't really try anything out now as the car is back together, in the end I lashed the top of the bumper to the radiator top so it didn't keel over, and did my best to work around it with it sitting on the ground, and still connected. That little tab at the bottom probably has something to do with it, but it didn't budge and I didn't want to break it. Dunno why people design such obscure mechanisms.
