Changing android auto mic aource?

My setup on my motorbike is an 11 inch waterproof wireless android auto unit with dashcams and tpms and a wee wired remote that goes on the left handlebar and fodsports bluetooth integrated into my helmet.
Almost everything works perfect nav, music, calls etc all fine. The fodsports has excellent noise cancellation on the mic, you can be doing custodial speeds and people on the other end cant tell you are moving.
The problem is the unit itself has a built in mic, and for hey google, and for any keyboard speech recognition it defaults to using that mic instead of the helmet mic.
I cant seem to find a setting anywhere to force it to use the helmet mic.
Any suggestions of a fix?
