Hi! This is a bit of a specific question directed to Niro owners with electrically operated folding door mirrors.

Does the car allow you to fold them in while driving, or will the feature only operate with the car stationary, when switching off the engine / locking the car?

The reason I’m asking is I am considering a Niro as my wife’s next car and she is concerned it may be too wide for her to easily drive into our garage without hitting a wing mirror on the narrow entrance. Being able to easily fold the mirrors in, electrically, before driving into the garage would certainly help.

Overall, the Niro looks like a very nice car but it’s something like 20cm wider than her current mk2 Punto, so that s a concern for supermarket parking. Cars seem to get bigger over time, but parking spaces do not!

My 2021 e-Niro allows you to fold the mirrors in at any speed.

Awesome, thank you! That sounds ideal.

And is it an Advance Plus model?

Sorry for the slow reply- it’s a e-niro3. So before the 2022 facelift

Thanks for the reply! I’d personally prefer an e-Niro, but as it’s a car for my wife I think it will end up being one with a noisy smelly loud thing in the front. But good to know the folding mirrors can operate whilst being driven.
