Has anyone retro-fitted cruise control to their 718? Got a quote from OPC Glasgow but looking to see if I can get it for less than the £1000 they quoted

I retrofitted cruise to my 987.1 Boxster a few years ago. Bought the parts myself, fitted them myself and then took the car to my local indy to get it coded.

If you're not bound by a Porsche warranty, have a chat with your local Indie.

Just bought a GT4 and used my OPC (Newport) to get cruise retro fitted.

According to the invoice, it was £627 (inc VAT).

Manual or PDK? No idea if that makes a difference to the price though

PDK.

Shouldn't make a difference as it's essentially just a swap out of switchgear and then a quick poke of the ECU.

Yep done that, buy the switch and get it installed. Then contact this guy for the code.

https://www.code-porsche.com/

Get it coded with a Porsche tool. (Activate rain sensor too, while you are in there if not enabled already) :-D

718 cars have PCM 4 - these codes appear to be for PCM 3.

OPC Bolton - £585
OPC South Lakes - £578

Bolton is a little closer to me but South Lakes is family owned, so I'll probably go there

No, standard. I don't think you can get adaptive retro-fitted (I didn't want it in any case)
