Its quite common for people to think that a "high mileage" Ferrari is a risk mechanically, including the engine. I though I would help dispel that myth.

Every couple of years when my car is serviced, AV Engineering go out of their way to have the oil analysed so that they can see how much wear the engine has based on contaminants in the oil, especially metals that are used in the engine.

I have posted the results for my car below. My car is considered high mileage, it has 55,000 miles on the clock and has a mixed service history of main dealer and independents. As you can see from the data below, at 55k miles its in fine fettle showing very little contamination in the oil.

Good data. 55k on a 360 is nothing if looked after. Oil analysis is the truth most Ferrari scare stories come from garage queens that never get hot. Keep driving it.

Good to hear. I think with any older engine, they like to be used and quite regularly and that means higher miles. Having owned a Lotus Esprit for 16 years, previous to my 360, I can vouch for this. The more I used it the better it got and it never let me down.
