Rear brake calipers
Discussion
Hi,
The rear brake calipers on my 1986 TVR 350i are seized. I need to remove them to replace them. The car is on jack stands, and I have about 50 cm of clearance underneath, so I’ll have to work lying down.
Is it possible to remove both calipers directly without having to take out the entire rear axle assembly? What difficulties or pitfalls should I expect?
Thank you for your advice.

It can be done but dropping the diff isn't that difficult and makes life so much easier.
I took my calipers off with the diff in place but got fed up trying to refit them so dropped the diff. It's only 3 bolts plus the driveshafts/prop shaft.
Have a look at my thread to see what's involved.
