Morning all

I have a 2006 Mercedes CLK320cdi auto with 33k on the clock.

The car runs and drives perfectly, until last week.

I am now getting a weird electrical fault as below. All happens simultaneously, all warnings come on together. Fault clears itself sometimes while driving or always after turning the car off for a bit.

Anyone got any ideas?

The faults are:

Active Lights System inoperative
Run Flat Indicator Inoperative
ABS/ESP Inoperative

I thought maybe battery related or a poor earth possibly. If anyone has had this and could share I would be very grateful.

I do have the car booked into my local Indy but he cant see it for 2 weeks.

Cheers

Brian

The blind spot assist on my 2010 E class started playing up. Turned out it was weak battery. New one fitted, back to normal.

I remember this happening a long time ago with my W208 CLK 320.
A restart always made the warning go away, so I ignored it for some time. At the next service, a failed wheel sensor was found to be the culprit.

Coincidentally, I started my CLK today, awakening it from retirement, to be photographed beside its new big brother. It probably does not consider 4 door MBs are proper cars. smile
Everything running fine.

This should always be the first think you look at before spending on diagnosis or repairs that will fail.

Yeah, quite common for weak batteries to cause these sorts of issues.

The sensors were still working (I could see the red dots appearing in the mirrors) but the low voltage had stopped the comms with the central unit. It had to be re-started/recoded or whatever to reestablish everything.
