Alignment question ?

Had my car 4-wheel aligned the other day after getting the tyres changed.

They didn’t have the Hunter rig, but things they attached to each wheel; one per side with a scale and one with a laser which showed the alignment on the scale attached to the other wheel.

My question- they aligned the front wheels then the rear ones, but if they didn’t know the rear ones were as they should be then how did they know the front alignment was correct?

Or did I throw £44 down the drain?

Two questions. Where the hell only charges £44 for an alignment, and did you get a printout?

There was no printout. I don’t think it was that sophisticated!

It was half price as I’d had the tyres done there.
