Petrol Fumes

I find that when my 400SE is in the garage on a hot day, the expansion of the fuel in the tank pushes fumes out of the vent pipe and fills the garage with a strong petrol smell. Has anyone fitted a small carbon canister in the vent pipe to remove the fuel vapours or found some other way of removing or stopping the vapours from getting into the atmosphere? TIA
