Kia EV6 "Zombie" mode - Fixes?
Discussion
Hello, I'm hoping to get some help or advice.
So the last few days I've had intermittent issues starting the car.

The immobiliser icon is lit.
A quick Google and the fix appears to be change the Key Fob battery. Not a problem, CR2302 is something I have loads of.
Go back to the car, it now shows as READY. Happy days.
Next day, I see the same error, bugger. Not a problem, I'll grab the spare key fob (must be an issue with this key fob). Replace the battery in that (never used the spare) and get READY. I can drive the car.
Mrs drives to work, all fine. at the end of her day she gets the immobiliser warning light. I talk her through taking apart the Key Fob as I checked the battery i took out and the multi meter and it was fine. She gets the car started. Phew.
Anyway, this morning it wouldn't start. Immobiliser error light and I went through the fob battery trick but it didn't work. A bit more Googling came across this:
remove the negative clamp from the 12v battery, leave the 12v disconnected for 15 minutes, reconnect the battery. Try again.
Shock, horror. It worked!
Just wondered if anyone else with an E-GMP platform car has suffered with the Zombie mode issue \ Immobiliser error?
Cheers T1b

I had this happen once, I was in a rush to popped off the 12v negative battery connection for 5 seconds and it fixed the issue
Yup, I saw a fix on a EV6 YouTuber that stated taking the negative 12v Battery Clamp of the battery, waiting 15 minutes, reattach the clamp to the 12v battery. Voila! Fixed, I've been away and the car works fine still. I'm going to give it a week and if its still issue free, I'm going to cancel the Diagnostic session.
A bit disappointed that the Internet has been more helpful than the manufacturer....
Sigh.
