Can anyone advise please?
I have the option of purchasing a 450 engine from someone who has wrote his 450 off a couple of years ago.

Whilst I am happy with my 350, the idea of the extra power of a 450 kinda excites me

Anyone know if this is likely to be a like for like swap (engine, box and ECU)? or would I have to consider engine mounts, driveshafts etc etc etc?

Also, what is a written off 450 worth - I might make him an offer for the whole car if the parts are interchangable with the 350...

Cheers,
L33

would think drive shafts would need to be bigger although this could depend on the age of your car, also might needa new radiator. ecu should be straight swap as, gear box is same unit. as for power no idea just do it!

I don't know how badly bent yet - I have not seen it since it was smashed up. I believe the body and chassis are knackered but I dont know how bad yet...
Why do you ask?

Well if the chassis and shell are both too bad to save, the rest isn't worth much.

The entire drivetrain should drop straight into the 350 as long as you have the A-frame rear suspension.
After that it'd be how many spare bits you could pull off before scrapping the remainder.
I'll take the o/s rear light if it's OK

I'll take the rear drive shafts

(and the vultures descend....)

No but seriously how much for the driveshafts?, and I know someone who'll take the diff

All the parts on the 450 should fit the 350 as long as your 350 is a series II with A frame rear suspension
