E89 Z4 3.0is in silver with black leather, we had an E30 325i Sport back before we had kids, and she always said she'd like another BMW straight six, but with a metal folding roof.
20+ years later, she finally got one.
Very happy so far, just intend to keep an eye on it and keep it in good condition, maybe OEM+?
Run flats long gone, but the un-named OSR and Pirelli NSR replaced with Michelin Pilot sports to match the fronts.(after this photo)
Other than that, it needs a machine polish to sort out a few blemishes and get it driven.
Few quick questions,
Is there anything anyone would recommend for preventative maintenance?
She'd like android auto, any recommendations compatible with the factory I-drive and screen? (I can fit it myself if needs be)

Lovely; any more pictures (interior etc)?

Get a Readers Cars thread going too wink

For maintenance - it's the N52 IIRC - so I'd get the cooling system overhauled (stat, water pump, hoses, sensors etc); get a new Febi Bilstein rocker cover, new spark plugs etc and get all that fitted. Change the oil and filter (I went with Liqui Moly 5W40 with Liqui Moly Ceratec in my previous E81 130i LE) and it was superb - quieter, smoother etc

You've already done the non RFTs so that's good. How are the brakes; new braided lines (HEL) and decent fluid (Motul RBF600) will do the brakes a world of good and give much better pedal feel too

Is it manual? Any history of the box being serviced, same with the diff etc?

Maybe consider replacing the two relays for the roof that are in the boot with the pump unit, I did that on mine as genuine ones were cheap and apparently they can fail (mine weren't original, so clearly someone had already had them go at some point).

Make sure the boot is weathertight (in particular around the rear lights), and there's no water collected around the battery and roof pump.

The coolant return feed runs across the top of the radiator under the slam panel and is a narrow plastic pipe into rubber hoses - although mine's a 35i, I assume they're all the same. Mine let go in slow traffic and I had to bodge it back together, so replaced it with an aluminium pipe I put a mild flare in to act as a bead for the rubber hoses. Maybe worth considering the same if it seems at all suspect.

Not so much preventative maintenance, but if you have to get at the fuse box, it's a right dick, tucked up behind the glovebox and sort of hinges down/slides out on a rail. Not impossible to access by any means, just very annoying.

Most of the underpinnings for the car are E9x 3-series related, so any mechanical maladies that can affect them are worth treating as a read-across.
