Honda Civic Type R Ep3 - help/advice wanted!

So it's a non runner. Only info I have is engine needs further investigation, endoscope down to look in further and compression test.
Premier edition, black, fully stock, 156k.
Wanted one since I was 9, had it 7 years and I am absolutely devastated that it isn't financially viable for me to fix.
I would kick myself for not seeing if anyone does car repairs at a fraction of the cost or free of charge as a project/enthusiast.
On the day it didn't start I spent £250 on mobile mechanics to come out urgently, both didn't seem to care and left me crying saying needs a new engine and I am looking at thousands, not hundreds.
I then paid to get it taken to Honda (they were useless, they had it a week and from what I can tell didn't really touch it) long story cut short I couldn't wait any longer without a car and didn't have the money to pay for them to continue to try get a diagnosis so paid to again have it returned. Already spent close to a grand and don't even have a diagnosis to show for it.
I have considered sorn and keep it until I can afford to fix it but I don't see myself ever having a couple of grand spare and unable to save with current cost of living. I have had an offer of £1750 but to me it is priceless as it was my dream car and I know I am so lucky to have had it for 7 years, can't even take it for one last drive. Was clearly more than a car to me.
Any words of advice welcome.

One day it just would not start. I have no way of getting it to a specialist as it's a non runner. Just taking a one last ditch attempt on a place where enthusiasts are in the hopes someone does it as a hobby or fraction of the price, i just can't bare the thought of seeing it go and not having it.
I know so little being a woman and people have used that to their financial advantage as they could see how devastated I was.
Just hoping for some miracle and know there are like minded people here who love their cars. Everyone around me thinks I am absolutely crackers being so upset over a car 😒 I just say you have your holidays, I have a car I always look back at, smile every time I get in it and any excuse to drive it or talk about it.

You may get lucky on here but I would suggest trying some specific owners groups on Facebook as you will more likely find a local enthusiast on there. That being said I think you will be very lucky to find someone who is willing to do much more than a passing look for free and you will likely get a lot of people making you offers to buy it similar to what you have already had, so prepare yourself.One day it just would not start. Those K20's are pretty robust, did you have any issues leading upto it not starting? Does the engine turn over but not fire up?
Has the timing chain been replaced and when was it last serviced?
Is there coolant in the reservoir tank
Is there oil in the engine, check the dipstick, if so does it look normal?
