Hello all

Looking for a 5 daydream break away in the UK as we cannot currently go abroad.

Mid June seems to be around 1600 1700 pounds for 5 days all-inclusive

Is it worth it ? Any recommendations ?

Seems very expensive

Thanks

Have been to Potters Hopton-on-Sea with elderly mother a couple of times for long weekends. Undoubtedly expensive, but the staff, facilities, food, all inclusivity and entertainment are all excellent.

All inclusive drinks offering is all decent branded stuff, choice and quality of food for all meals (plus 'midnight snacks' etc) is excellent. You're assigned your own table for the duration of the stay too, so no scrabbling around if you happen to be slightly late for a meal. Accommodation in what would have been called 'chalets' back in the day is unspectacular but clean and comfortable. Hotel apparently rather nicer but even more costly.

Entertainment programme during the day is pretty packed - we felt no need to go outside the resort. Evening entertainment is genuinely not far off West End standards, decent comics and spectacular song/dance shows.

Neither of us do outdoor/indoor bowling (of the green/carpet variety), but if any party members do then the facilities at Hopton are second to none.

TL;DR version - expensive but recommended if you've got the disposable and would prefer not to fly.
