I have a 2026 C125R that is on 450 miles and I understand its first service is at 600 miles.
Can anyone tell me if it has to go back to Honda with regards to the warranty?
Its a bit of a grey area, I would prefer to just service it myself as i enjoy it and my nearest Honda dealer is an hour away so a day off needed etc.
If a local Vat registered business could do it that would be an option.

Honda does state that it has to be carried out by a a "Honda Authorised Dealer" or "Authorised Honda Service Centre" for the bike to be covered under warranty.

Even states needs to use Honda Pro Oil...

This doesn't count for recall work though.

I think a few other manufacturers are the same, and the same rules for cars being serviced at a VAT registered garage don't apply to motorcycles.

Another point to note is that Honda will extend the warranty up to six years if you have the annual service done at a dealer - could be useful when it comes to resale.
