Surely there's a small VTOL aircraft that could have looked a bit more like a Tie Fighter than that Helicopter?

I don't think I have ever seen a modern motor superyacht (sorry, gigayacht, whatever that is) that I really liked (plenty of classic ones though) but this is wonderful! Silly, but wonderful! I'd have one if I were Elon Musk.

Surely that's a terrible spot for a helipad anyway, aren't they on the centreline to avoid issues with roll?

They're usually on centreline because the yacht beam pretty in most cases is much the same as the rotor disc diameter. Unless you are operating a CVN then there isn't really another way to accommodate them.

I'd outrun it in my Bavaria 32. It's the yacht that did Lymington to Gosport in less than 3 hours. She'll make point five past hull speed. She may not look like much but she's got it where is counts, kid.
