Not put anything on the Rolls forum before but we have a Rolls Royce Silver Dawn that's been in the family since new.
Bought in Sheffield in 1998 by my Dad its been a great and not expensive all purpose family car, having a little under 60,000 miles from new and only failed to proceed once.
My Dad gave up using it around 2010 and we only do a few miles a year for excursions and family events. The maintenance isn't too costly and its so wonderful to drive that i couldn't think of selling.
The overall build quality isnt that good to be honest, while details are first class there is some minor corrosions from metal and alloy being next to each other and the electrics can be temperamental and not logical.
We have on the to-do list a new trip computer / alert screen, minor paint correction, handbrake overhaul and a set of Avon tyres cutting with white walls. The OEM Goodyear eagles don't appear to be available now with white wall.
If mpg wasn't an issue I'd love a trip to Italy in it but its the elephant in the room with these unless you simply abandon reason and don't check budget airline fares.
There may be parts unavailable now so a forum comes in handy when a trim piece needs replacing.

It certainly has presence!
