Cabriolet 944 Hood?

here is my recommendation, but a few quick questions
1> WHERE is the water actually dripping from ?
i.e is it physically coming through the hood material
OR is it coming in from around the edges.
IF it is the edges there are adjustments that Porsche can make, even in mine you will get a few drips... this is ok
IF it is coming through the material, then some cowboy has not followed the instructions for hood care...
i) DO NOT USE any cleaners on the hood material
ii) DO NOT regualalry clean the hood with water
iii) DO NOT use any solvents at all
The hood is ruberised and can be damaged the ONLY thing you need do is
i) clean with a dry safe brush (the kind you you use on alloy wheels)
ii) heavy stains can be removed with a lighly damped cloth with a SMALL ammount of washing up liquid
iii) or use a RUBBER (Eraser)
iv) occasioanl LIGHT hosing is fine
v) any heavy work should be done by Porsche or a proffesional company.
DO NOT FIX THIS YOURSELF, take it to a indy/specailist or POrsche

The dripping is entering via the main hood- small drawing pin size droplets above drivers head & another behind passengers seat.
Thanks for your advice. I have arranged for it to have a service by a Porsche specialist & will inform him then.
Have not cleaned it as it is in good order - (Renovo ordered )however in the mean time have managed to get hold of autoglym hood protector & have trated it.Was this a mistake? Woops if it was!

The hood is made up of "2" layers, so water is getting through 2 layers of waterproofed material.
I think at some time somone has treated this incorrectly.
at this stage doing what you have done has probably not made anything worse.
but good move to get it into a speaclist to check it out properly.
if they can't fix or reproof it, expect to replace th hood £600 >
