3 episodes currently available on iPlayer, with a new episode being released every Friday A total of 6 in the series

It was written by and stars Richard Gadd of Baby Reindeer fame.

It's the story of 2 kids who grew up in Glasgow as brothers despite not being blood related. It's well acted and pretty intense in places but it is good.

Yes I’m liking it , it puts me in mind of things like Fight Club and This Is England.

I haven’t watched Baby Reindeer yet so will be giving that a go.

Just watched this week's episode (Ep4) and it's taken it up another level of intensity.

How this isn’t getting more comments on here / coverage in the press is beyond me. I watched episode 4 last night and the performances from the two main characters was some of the best TV I’ve ever seen. My advice to anyone would be to persevere through the early violence and don’t be put off by the subject matter if it doesn’t appeal (I’m not going to give it away here).

It also couldn’t be more different to Baby Reindeer so don’t be put off if you didn’t like that!

We've finished the series, difficult to comment without spoiling it.

Thanks, I've still to watch the 5th episode and didn't realise it was the final one. I had assumed incorrectly that there was 6 episodes in the series.

Woke garbage.

Baby Reindeer was nothing more than deeply disturbing, exploitative content dressed up as prestige drama. The mainstream media couldn’t praise it enough for being so “brave.” Let’s be clear: there’s nothing brave about dumping psychologically sick, traumatic, and downright creepy material onto a mainstream platform with virtually no meaningful warnings. Families, casual viewers, and unsuspecting subscribers shouldn’t have to stumble into this kind of twisted garbage on a random Tuesday night.
Critics swooned over it as bold and important, while normal people finished episodes feeling unsettled and wondered why Netflix thought this belonged in their living rooms. Of course Netflix declared it a massive success. Another box ticked for their relentless push of boundary-pushing “woke” fare that prioritizes shock value and niche obsessions over actual entertainment. Now Half Man looks set to deliver more of the same self-indulgent misery.
There’s a widening, unhealthy gap between what the television industry considers “important” and what actual audiences want to watch. Forcing audiences to endure this kind of uncomfortable, agenda-driven sludge without clear disclaimers isn’t edgy. It’s disrespectful. Viewers deserve better than being ambushed by content that feels more like therapy sessions for the disturbed than quality storytelling. At this rate, the industry’s contempt for normal tastes is becoming the real problem.

He does. Otherwise he won’t have something to get unnecessarily outraged about.

I thought it was excellent.

Not crap, well acted & written but quite unsettling. Put it this way, I wouldn't watch it again!

I am 2 episodes in. It's like watching constantly on edge and highly stressed - really good though. The main character guy (the angry brother from baby reindeer) is incredibly intense, and his on-screen presence is palpable. Really gripping stuff and it's nice to have something really pretty unique.

How does anyone - particularly a grown adult - throw the word "woke" around? What does it even mean. How is it "woke"?

“Woke” is a pejorative term for rigid, overreaching progressive ideology and cultural practices that critics view as performative virtue-signaling, dogmatic identity politics, and authoritarian overreach.
