Competent garage in North Essex/Suffolk

Hi all,
I've been taking my ATR to the same garage for a number of years. They've always been OK but over the past couple of years they've been swerving some jobs that need doing and sometimes giving the car back with the job not done or done to a lower standard that i'd expect. And still charge me an arm and a leg.
As the car is 26 yes old now, it needs a bit of TLC. I am fairly good with the spanners but need a garage for bigger jobs I would not be confident doing.
Any recommendations welcome, ideally with good knowledge of old Hondas.
