Never had a Ferrari before, my business partner has had a few and he's currently in a 488 Spider which seems to be holding it's value quite well.

From listening to him I'd be forgiven for thinking that anything over 20k miles in a Ferrari is worthless. He's always driven his to about 15k miles and swapped, also quite handy that all servicing etc has been included up to 7 years old.

I'd never really considered a Ferrari, I thought my next purchase would be a 720s Spider or a Huracan Evo Spider but my head has been unexpectedly turned by the F8, I think it looks quite a bit more modern when compared to the 488 which I never really fell in love with.

Is mileage a killer? I'll probably put 10k miles a year on it, I don't worry too much about it and I'm not overly precious, hence me thinking it's not worth paying over the odds for low mileage in the first place.

I'd probably drive it at the weekend and when the weather is nice, to the office and nowhere else in particular other than car occasional car shows.

Other point, it'll live outside as no space in the garage, or perhaps under a semi-permanent structure specifically for this car.

Does it need to be kept on a trickle charger? What spec is essential?

I'd want Apple Car Play and front lift along with the painted shields. What else is desirable and a must have? Oh, I think it must be blue, yellow, or that lovely multi layer deeper red colour.

Thanks for any advice.

Mileage is really only a killer if you intend to move the car on after a relatively short period of time. If that is your intention then the 20k threshold you mentioned is a real thing in terms of value but of course psychological in all others aspects.

They most definitely need to be kept on a battery conditioner but they come with one anyway.

Thanks for the reply. Battery conditioner plugs in by the reg plate on my business partner's 488 from memory, same on the F8? That's easy enough.
