I'm not sure it will be much cheaper, Japan isn't known for being a cheap place. Samsung being Korean may suggest it's cheaper in Korea.

You can pick them up in the UK for mid £200's so I think I tend to agree with EX51GR above.

Usually yes, electronics are cheaper in Japan due to tax and exchange rate. But check if the Japan model has same frequency bands and language options. Also warranty might be Japan-only. Compare prices online before you go.
